Handover news: Riley Elf finds a new home with Joe

As lockdown restrictions ease a little, we’re pleased to say that the wonderful Riley Elf has recently been handed over to a new owner, Joe Dawson (and his 3-year-old son, Edward!).

The handover took place at the Canal Basin in Coventry, chosen as it’s the home of the Riley Cars Heritage Trust and home of the Riley themselves.

This brilliant auto has been generously lent to the scheme by the Riley Cars Heritage Trust. We were pleased that Andrew Brain could join us for the handover, along with other members of the trust. Victor Riley must get a special mention too – it’s a real pleasure that William Riley Junior’s grandson himself turned up to see the Elf off and no doubt keen to check Joe looks like a safe pair of hands!

Joe will be taking great care of the Elf, hoping to get to some exhibitions when Covid allows, and providing updates to us and the Heritage Trust, so be sure to check back.
