All classic cars need good tyres. Cars in the Classic Car Loan Project, where classics are on loan for a year, need to be safe for younger enthusiasts to enjoy the driving experience in complete safety.
Up step Longstone Tyres to give trusted sound advice on the specific tyre requirements. The loan project 1931 Ford Model A needed new tyres and owner Peter Garrett was advised that he needed Lucas 475 x 19 – 4 ply rated ; also not the three that he thought he needed but a complete set of 5 since the other pair were well over 10 years old. A full set of tyres and new tubes were supplied by Longstone Tyres at a good discount.
Longstone boss and tyre expert. Dougal Cawley said, ” Tyre safety is paramount and classic car owners must show responsibility to the whole classic movement. Here at Longstone Tyres we were pleased to advise Peter on the tyres he required and thus we were able to give support to the Classic Car Loan Project and the future generation of enthusiasts.”
Loan Project Manager Bob Wilkinson said, “Longstone have been supporting the project from the outset by offering sound advice on tyres, and excellent prices, when owners and clubs are preparing cars for loan. We are delighted to have their support”.
